3-216: In the Utility Conduit of Argyle’s Lodge VII

Dicard takes the box and heads out of the room.

Oliver climbs the ladder and examines the hatch in the ceiling.  There is a magnetic security switch here with an optical line running to it.  Opening the hatch (it opens up into whatever space is above) will cause the switch to be activated.  It isn’t clear what that will mean.

It is obviously intended to defend from people coming the other way.

It’s an easy lockpick (+4 because it’s obvious and simple from this side of the hatch + 2 for Oliver’s security system bonus in this facility = +6)  roll to disarm it from this side, or Oliver can just open the hatch and see what happens.

If he opens the hatch, is he taking any precautions?

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Based on the claymore and previous traps I’ll disarm it with a base roll of 9
