3-211: In the Waste Processing room of Argyle’s Lodge II

Oliver reigns in his curiosity about new places to explore and makes his way through the pipe run, past the claymore and to the waste room.

He doesn’t die from someone re-hooking up the Claymore while he was gone or anything.

Here is the previous post on this room for memory refresh purposes:

The control panel seems to be an add-on, not original equipment.  It is about a 30cm touch screen display.  There is an optical line connecting it to the new optical bundle added to the pipe run.  It is also wired into the original door controls with a copper lead and looks like it can be used to raise and lower the door, according to one of the soft buttons on the screen.  Another button indicates it can be used to access external cameras.  The screen is flashing   SECURITY COMMAND NETWORK ERROR .  Oliver is sure it wasn’t doing that earlier; he believes he would have noticed it.  A settings button tells Oliver that  ABANDON PROTOCOL IS ACTIVE

  1. Oliver Starr says:

“I guess the computer was the security command…”
Is that all Oliver can do from here?

“Abandon is a good indicator he’s gone and he knew we were coming… Perhaps he left last cycle and Dicard was too late locking his passport? Are his outer defences always on when he’s away or sleeping? Or only as a part of this protocol? But his data is all still here… It’s either not important, he left recently or he cares more about hurting curious people than having his information discovered.”

Oliver will lightly touch his burn with his right hand

“Either way, he can fellate a scaly phallus…”

As he’s talking he’ll be pushing buttons, even if he’s sure they won’t work in an attempt to get the computer to do something.
