3-134: Back In the Foyer of Argyle’s Lodge XXIII

Alan heads out to the Aerostat to get the second extinguisher.

The light through the doorway to the Common Room from the flames is a bright red; the flare is now burning quickly and very brightly as the fire has burned away the cover and all its fuel is being consumed at once instead of in a slow, controlled burn.

Some of the liquid has now spread into the foyer, but its consumption by flame and the soaking effect of the carpet means it doesn’t seem to be coming any further.

Acrid brown smoke is beginning to roll out the top of the entrance to the Common Room and fill up the Foyer.

Alan appears in the Foyer doorway with the extinguisher in hand when there is a ‘bang’ from inside the Common Room and the bright red and orange light is enhanced by a dazzling white glow and a hissing sound.

“Did anyone see what that was? Maybe we should clear out? Can you contain the fires?”
