3-073: In the Foyer of Argyle’s Lodge VI


By the time you return the flare has gone out and the others have turned on their torches.

There is an exchange of glances.  Chris stands behind the counter and raises his shotgun.  Dicard stands by the Kitchen door.  Alan moves to slide it open.

“It’s locked,” he says.

As one, they turn to look at you.

    I’ll move up, put down the cases and get to work. And start mumbling to myself. “Who locks a sliding door anyway? It slides. Only stores lock sliding doors… All this guy sells is a big waste of time over some book for some official for god knows what…” It will get more incoherent after that; Oliver is mostly annoyed at his failure earlier, regardless of his previous successes.
