He pauses for a moment, before responding to your comment about attacking the turret, “I don’t think I took it out.  It’s smaller than I thought and it’s dark in there.  It’s hard to see, hard to hit and you don’t really have much time to aim.”

If Oliver wants to do a pop up attack you are at -2 to hit, you cannot take an Aim maneuver to get your weapon’s accuracy bonus, you will have a darkness penalty, a small target size penalty and the usual range penalty for a 10m distant target. 

Note that Chris had a bonus to his attack for the shot-scattering effect of using a shotgun that Oliver won’t have with his electrolaser.

I think Oliver would also know that an electrolaser is effective against unshielded electronics, but if the turret electronics are shielded then only the carrier laser’s low-powered burn attack will do damage.
