3-053: At the Front Door to Argyle’s Lodge III

Oliver’s pacifism is pretty high.  There is a threat to your group, but this is bordering on violating the ‘no pre-emptive strikes’ condition.  However, as long as you’re only facing automated turrets I’ll say this is OK for now.  What happens if Argyle is in there with a weapon, or without, we’ll have to see.

While you’re counting Chris brings his shotgun up and points in the direction where the turret is likely to be, if your map was correct.

Alan takes a few steps closer to the door, holding a torch in one hand and his pistol in the other.

You count down and push the doors open.

Table: Combat Stats Summary

PersonSpeed  DXWeapon Weapon Skill HP Current Action
 Alan 6 14 9mm Pistol 15 9 Waiting for Opportunity Fire
Chris 6  12 Shotgun 12 16 Waiting for Opportunity Fire
 Oliver 5.5 11 Electrolaser Pistol 11 10 Opening Door
Dicard 5 10 Electrolaser Pistol 11 10 Do Nothing, standing watch

Either:  Roll DX to apply the right amount of force to open the door half way without exposing yourself in the gap, or expose yourself in the gap and be certain the door opens where you want.

  1. Oliver Starr says:

If Oliver sees someone in the room, I’m happy to have him “Freeze up” or something and lose some action time, as a trade off for the turrets. I’ll skip the roll and expose myself to make sure Chris gets the shot.
