3-043: At the Large Hunting Lodge XXXIII

You head inside and everyone eats.  You can discuss things over the meal.

We can do the next bit in a couple of ways:
  • You can work out your plan and try and explain it to the others over lunch, then you can refine it and execute it, or
  • You can just tell me what you do and we’ll resolve it as we go.
I’ll leave it to you to decide, there might be some discussion around the edges, but being in NPC mode I’ll assume the others are eventually persuaded to do whatever you want to do unless it’s obviously stupid or suicidal.

Some key considerations:
  • When are you going to leave?
  • How are you going to leave (I assume the aerostat)?
  • Are you attempting to source any additional equipment before you go?
  • Are you interacting with anyone not in the group before you go?
  • Is everyone going with?

FYI, given Pristine’s fast rotation you get about 36 tasks each of day and night per local rotation (ie a bit over 1/3 of a Cycle each).  Right now, as you are having lunch, the sun is coming up.  Halcyon says it will take about 8 tasks to fly from here to Argyle’s lodge.

“My plan is to drop in by the door, if we can do as close to a complete vertical drop that would be optimal. I’ll need to know how long it takes to get there. Would we be more comfortable leaving the ship or having Alan pick us up? I think an extra body inside would be good, but being a pilot is your strength and I’d like to capitalise on it. However if we have no form of communication I’d suggest just coming in.

I can get in to the door as long as there’s no blast cover to stop me. Chris should take point once we’re on the ground with our getaway standing in the back. That leaves me, the door opener second and our leader in third.

I have everything I need to get in, if we’re all armed we should be ready for a firefight, it’s just one guy after all.”

I’d like to leave as soon as possible, however if the trip is lengthy enough I’d be willing to delay a few tasks to make it there at nightfall.
