Benino Meyer-Fawlt is the owner/manager of Platters on the Esplanade, a new restaurant in the Esplanade District of Cap City on Captree. 

He is a heavy-set but well-presented man with greying hair.  Benino works in partnership with the head chef – Gord Bolton. 

Benino’s Story

Benino is a Hybrid, whose father died while he was very young.  After a number of lean, hard years on the Benevolence his mother was fortunate enough to partner with a Forerunner, as a result of that he has an older half-sibling who is also a Forerunner.  His mother and her new partner were then killed in an accident and he was taken in by the new partner’s parental Forerunner household as kind of package deal with his elder sibling.  He remembers some of the most joyous times in his youth as being when he went to fine dining establishments that he could not even conceive of as a child.  Having seen the privileged and under-privileged he wants to bring that joy he experienced to a wider group of people.  He met the chef, Gord Bolton, when he was working at a soup kitchen for freed indentures and recognised his potential and after running a small cafe, they agreed to start this venture.  They approached Cinna for a loan after the Dominion Bank wouldn’t touch them because of Gord’s past.
