Honest Brodie’s is a restaurant and gaming venue in the Zarg’s World Downport.

  

Overall

It’s a mostly young crowd; mostly Silvers with some Money to burn and some pretensions toward culture, and also popular with spacers.  

The music is present, though not live, but not so loud as to prevent conversation.  There is table service and a gaming room.

  

Dining Area

At touch of a control flickers a menu to life on the table’s display; they order drinks likewise.  

When it’s ready, a server will bring the food and drinks out to them.

  

Gaming Area

The gaming area is divided into two halves, with noisy games on one side and quieter games on the other, a cashier’s window just inside the door.  Games in here offer gambling and purely recreational opportunities.

In the quiet area there are several Chak tables with a number of games going at various stakes levels, chips on the tables.  There are also a couple of Carom tables with one match being attended by several onlookers and side bets apparently taking place.

In the noisy area there is tabletop Sportsball, dice games and video games, both single and multi-player and The Wheel Game (Lia has never heard the term ‘Roulette’) .  A screen is showing various betting results from across the Dominion, another a Sportsball match between teams from Octant 1 and Harmony and another some sort of motorsport event involving bikes.

Drinks and snacks can be ordered into here as well; most of the games have a menu interface similar to the tables in the main dining area.  

  

Sample Chak Table

It’s a largish table for Chak – five players and a dealer, ʄ50 ante with 20% to the house, minimum ʄ10 raise, un-ranked players allowed. Three other men apart from Ipan and including the dealer and two women.
