  • The exterior fence is about 2m high, with some variation due to the uneven terrain
  • White opaque domes on top of the gate posts are quite possibly covers for a camera system
  • Though it turns out there are also Gyroc AA turrets in there
  • The sides and part of the roof of the lodge are either built up earth or it has been built into the hill.
  • Front Elevation:
    • The block to the lower left is a garage.
    • The red rectangles are the fence.
    • The diagram is looking from approximately where the gate is.
    • Beyond the fence, the ground continues to fall away (not shown.)

Garage

Plan View Showing Front of Lodge and Garage

Garage includes:

  • A portable blow torch running off some sort of hydrocarbon fuel
  • An electric camp stove and a spare external D cell [see UT18-19 for details of power cells] to run it.
  • Two powerful electric torches (flashlights)
  • The half-track utility has a survival kit with 6 more flares in it, and a flare gun to fire them
  • The mobile lifter has a big spotlight rig on it, but may be difficult to get up the stairs, it is useful for looking around the garage
  • Against one wall are three sheets of 1m x 1m x 5mm steel plating, and some smaller off-cuts, the big plates are quite heavy though (88lb/40kg each).
  • The garage contains a well-kitted out workshop and there are tools such as bench and portable drills, a spot welder, a grinder etc.

Service Access

Pipe Run

The pipe run begins in the service access, runs beneath the back of the lodge and ends after several hundred metres of descending twists and turns at the Waste Room.

About a third of the way from the Waste Room, Argyle had set up a tripwire and claymore.

Waste Room

There is no map of the Waste Room at the end of the pipe run; it comprises two rooms:

  • A room with pumps and chemical treatment facilities
  • A small garage with a vehicle-sized door opening outside the fence
    • The waste room is outside the lodge fence and quite a ways down the slope on which the lodge is built

Post-Raid Changes

When the team returned after the Legion raid, the following changes were noted:
  • Exterior
    • The gateposts were destroyed
    • The gate was lying flat on the ground
    • There was a huge crater in the driveway
    • There’s no glass in the front windows
  • Interior
    • Many doors are off their hinges, they are lying in a heap in front of the window.
    • The turrets have been destroyed.
    • There is carnage inside the Boot Room and Kitchen.
    • The stairs down are open, the trap door apparently having been torn off and thrown on the pile of doors.
    • An observant person may note scuff marks on the top of the doors, like they’ve been used as a way of repeatedly getting in and out of the window.
    • The Store Room is empty and the previously well-stocked shelves are bare.
    • All the furniture has been removed.
    • In the freezer room, the large vats remain, though they are empty, as do the freezer units, through they are open, have been dragged away from the walls and several access panels have been pulled off. The false ceiling that was in this room is smashed to pieces and piled in a rear corner along with the remains of the overhead lights.
    • A mama Alpcow has set up a nest in bedroom 3 with several cubs.
