Location
Thikth Bar is located inside Commercial Void Space TH6 at Asteroid Balboa.
There is no public transport – one must walk to the Void space then across it to where the bar is located.
At most times of the cycle, thumping music can be heard emanating from the bar across the space.

Entry
The entry to the bar is at the top of a long, shallow ramp, an open entryway below green-and-pink neon – Thikth Bar. Within, a metal-walled entry hall provides a surprising lull in the thumping noise, though quiet is not a term that springs to mind to describe it. Loiterers, smokers, talkers intermittently line the walls, a ratty honour guard to a metal table outside a chain-link chicane entrance to the bar proper, flashing lights and music beyond. The portal guardian a skinny girl in a paint-stained coverall, spike-coloured hair and a scar down her left cheek, seated at the table: ʄ5 cover charge.
Unobtrusive, in the shadows a giant of a bouncer, alert but unthreatening. The person at the door will take one’s payment, scrawl a marker across the back of one’s hand – softly glowing pink right of entry. The one can thread the wire fence chicane and enter the main area.
The Big Room
The central area is titled The Big Room, its identification proclaimed on a spray-painted metal sign that looks to have had a former life as an industrial door but is now suspended from the roof with rusty chains.
Smoke both artificial and tobacco hangs and swirls, coloured light beams and lasers picked out within it – the air glows.
There is a large speaker array; it looks like it might need a dedicated fusion reactor for its power. All around, more people drinking, standing, smoking, toking, talking close to ears. The nose is greeted by a redolence of tobacco, stale alcohol, bodies both sweaty and perfumed, the whole papered over with a sickly-sweet pall of artificial smoke.
As soon as one is clear of a direct line from speakers to dance floor at the edge of The Big Room the volume drops noticeably – sound projection technology at work.
The Bar
As one enters The Big Room, to the left is The Bar, better lit, Lia can see a thronging queue several people deep around the counter, stools and high tables at the edges for the serious drinkers.
The Lounge
As one enters The Big Room, to the right is The Lounge, a used furniture and junk shop segregated with makeshift partitions and randomly lit with task lights from above. Pools of light show it peopled with more sedentary revellers, pools of dark hide shapes that may be the same – though here and there a cigarette or a PDA screen glows.
Security & Staff
There is no sign of vid surveillance, but there are numerous bouncers around the place. The staff are a mix of ages, but tend to young.
A number of young children work at the bar and will fetch drinks for patrons for half a Money.
