I-228-Oliver: Spanial, Control (Captree N-Space to Jump Point)

Oliver chats with Jennie and Gregar about Jennie’s jump plot and obscure technical things like the emission frequency of Spanial’s FTL plates.  Oliver sets up the jump spoofing, explaining the technical details of what he’s doing to the rest of the Control crew.

At one point, the Net Packet emits an active sensor sweep, as if it’s looking for something, though Spanial is probably beyond it’s effective active range at that point.

Jennie counts down to the jump, Karmen giving her the all clear to go on schedule, the FTL drives spool up and Oliver initiates his spoofing signals.

Spanial jumps …

… Oliver feels the usual queasy sensation on the transition to hyperspace …

… “Jump entry complete,” Jennie reports …

… and Oliver shuts down the active sensor array.

He feels pretty good about how that went.  Critically successful, one might say.

Ipan has been watching intently over Oliver’s shoulder, “Uh, that was actually pretty smooth, you, uh, think it worked?”

  1. Oliver Starr says:

“Well it was pretty textbook based on what we were planning so… yeah. I think so.”
