I-192-Oliver: Captree Main Orbital, Concourse Café

“Yes and no, the 3rd and 7th have essentially been cut out of the process, so my ass-kicking and nose-wiping duties are limited.  There’s even been some media coverage about the 39th’s involvement in order to make a point; I hear Madison Finchley included a reference to the operation in one of her bulletins.”

It’s difficult for me to say whether Oliver would recognise the reference to Madison Finchley as one of the most famed news presenters in the Dominion or not…

Marissa continues, “Rumour has it that the failure of the Bureaucracy to support the 7th fleet in this operation in using Mundo Zargo as a base has actually affected the appointment of the new Governor there, but it’s too little too late; the 39th isn’t affected by local politics in the same way the Primary fleets are – the 7th is out of the loop for now and the Task Group will decide what action to take.

“That said, yes, I’m looking forward to the challenge.  The issues here in three are more about smuggling, organised crime and suspected support from the Separatists, as opposed to Octant 7, where it looks like there’s piracy connections, and frankly, a mess of interests that we don’t really understand.”

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Oliver probably would’ve kept pretty close to the news after the incident to see if it was reported.

“Could be a good opportunity to pick up some attention from the uppers if that’s what you wanted.”
