I-187-Oliver: Captree Main Orbital, Concourse Café

Grandmissar

I imagine Marissa to be aged about 18 in Dominion reckoning, and Oliver’s grandmother would be aged 27 or so, perhaps a bit older.  Alive then, I think?

Commiserate

“Consistent with my experience too, a lot seems to depend on the individual and what they want and what they do.  Most Commissars are actually bound up with legal and Inquisitorial work and just want to get through their case loads.  The ones in permanent military posts generally want to display their loyalty and effectiveness and are the most dangerous, like they have a quota of miscreants and seditionists to root out and they put in place idiot rules that interfere with operational efficiency.  Ones like Usher though, they get sensitive missions and specific goals to achieve, and they usually have their eyes on the objective if they’re any good.”

Double Class

Marissa nods back at him, she has that look in her eye that she gets when she’s made a decision about something.

“Thank you Oliver.”

Test

“Goal-based actions, as I said.”

Oliver’s fairly certain at this point that Marissa has drawn the correct inference about tho took the test and what he’s been doing.

Recruiters

“I thought you might be suited to the duties, though given your interest in cyber studies, I though if you did take an interest in the Legion, that you might wind up a Staff leader.”

  1. Oliver Starr says:

    Alive sounds good.

Commiserate – “Never underestimate the damage someone with too much power and something to prove can do.”

Recruiters – “Possibly, who knows what the future may hold?”
