To the second, “Usher didn’t say much at all, reached out via a message, said he’d met you and thought of me, slipped in a few casual questions about you and growing up and what you might be doing.  He suggested we should catch up if he were ever nearby.

“I responded because you don’t blow off a Commissar, but I kept things vague.  Said we hadn’t been in touch for a while, was glad you’d had a chance to meet; trivial chit-chat level.”
