Lockpick

Some time after Karmen’s meeting, probably either following Oliver out after dinner the next Cycle or just knocking on his cabin door, Lia will come to see Oliver about his abilities with locks…

Over to Lia.

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

    “Hey.”

She will tap Oliver on the shoulder.

“Wanted to ask you a favour.”

  2. Oliver Starr says:

    “Sure, what do you need?”

  3. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“What did you use to get into the Envoy’s room?”

  4. Oliver Starr says:

“I use my PDA to trick the card reader into thinking I have an access card. Why do you ask?”

  5. Lia Silver-Rose says:

    She looks very interested.

“I’m interested in learning how to pick locks. Do your use your PDA every time?”

  6. Oliver Starr says:

Oliver may look a bit surprised. “Depends on the lock type, I have a set of tool for locks that don’t have internal programs. Some people still prefer the older style pin locks with no electronics at all. There’s also electrical locks that need the right charge to trigger an opening mechanism. Are you looking for a tutor?”

  7. Lia Silver-Rose says:

    She also looks mildly surprised.

“Huh. I guess I am. Are you offering?”

    She gives him a grin.

  8. Oliver Starr says:

He nods. “I can’t promise you’ll be able to do it in a timely manner before we reach our destination. Mostly it’s about practice and researching different lock types so you know what to look for when you encounter one. But we can lay the groundwork for you to continue learning after we go our separate ways. I should also be able to make a few dummies you can use for practical practice.”

  9. Lia Silver-Rose says:

“Oh wow, that would be awesome. Thank you! That’s seriously great. Well, whenever you have time…”

  10. Oliver Starr says:

“We can add it into our schedule. What’s a regular time that works for you?”
    – I’m happy for the GM to work out this part for us and/or skip the scene there.

  11. Lia Silver-Rose says:

    Yeah that works for me.
