Overlord Kate Kirton became the forty-first Overlord on the abdication of her brother.
Korban Kirton, Korran Kirton, Kate Kirton and Kaster Kirton were all together in the same room when the news of Overlord Hendon’s death was officially delivered. The then new Overlord Korban, abdicated immediately, followed by the swift abdication of Overlord Korran. Anecdote has it that Overlord Korban had called his House-Adopted children together for the express purpose of having everyone abdicate in turn, leaving the title to his sister Klute, however Overlord Kate accepted, and remained Overlord for 9kCy in one of the most controversial and bloody reigns in history. (Opponents of this story claim that had that really been Overlord Korban’s intention, he would have Nominated Klute before his abdication.)
