Almost musingly, she adds, “intangible benefits are inherently harder to value.”
“They are, aren’t they? I can relate to that.”
That second comment is almost said under her breath but not to the point of it being inaudible.
She takes a moment to simply look at Raina across the table, giving her the benefit of a frank assessment.
“So here we are, two sensible, rational women enjoying our clearly defined life choices.”
