There’s some high-tech amplification going on – within a few metres of the stage the music is amplified to a point where conversation is difficult, for those that wish to listen (or perhaps dance – but the event doesn’t seem to be at that point yet) beyond that radius, it’s just background.
Function Room
After a while Raina arrives, entering the room chatting to someone that she recognises – Junior Secretary Magnus Akwilla (aka ‘Mer Formal Wear’) – who she recognises from her passenger liner trip from Argyropoulos to Captree.
There is a small trail of hangers on leaving a respectful distance around them. Raina surveys the room as she enters, making eye contact with several people but keeping her expression impassive.
Lia is one of the several.
Raina appears to be leading Magnus over to the buffet, where the crowd parts before her.
Having met the Junior Secretary, I assume she has a slightly better handle on who she is but since I don’t have details I’ll go with Current Affairs (High Culture) for her – 8 vs 14 (plus relevant bonuses). For the Undercrat she’ll go with Savoir-Faire (High Society) since he seems to be ambitious – 7 vs 14 (plus bonuses).
I can’t remember what skills I had her use for her original rolls but if she thinks either of them might be attracted to her, she’s willing to use Sex Appeal (19) for one (seems a bit weird to use it for both.)
She is still enjoying the music and may use it as a conversation starter if necessary.
She notices when Raina enters – what is she wearing? When Raina makes eye contact, Lia will give her a little eyebrow raise and a cheeky half smile. How far has Lia drifted from the buffet to speak to her new friends?
I remember Mer Formal Wear from Lia’s trip over – did she end up speaking to him in our skipped over journey? If so, she will give him a smile if she catches his eye.
