H-208: Captree, Platters on The Esplanade

Raina looks at Lia thoughtfully while she finishes her drink.

“I will, but not now.  Unfortunately, I have a couple of other people that I must speak to this Bluevening and a speech to make before everyone gets too drunk to listen.”

As noted, Raina is difficult to read, but Lia may sense that she is regretful that she apparently has other commitments.

She continues, “but I will make sure we have another opportunity.”

  1. Lia Silver-Rose says:

Is Lia getting any sense of an intention in that statement?

She blinks. It may appear that she is mildly startled. She was not expecting that.

There’s a beat before she responds.

    “Another opportunity… like this?”

    She indicates the large gathering.

There is something slightly guarded in the question.
