Northlight

Northlight is a small city on the Captree mainworld built on an ice-coated island near the Northern pole.  It’s possible that Lia has visited there as part of the courier work Cinna has had her doing, but not more than once or twice.  Captree has an unusually strong magnetic field and an often energetic star – the combination make for impressive aurora displays near the poles that have led to the naming of the city.

Octant 6

As has been noted previously, Octants are the Dominion’s equivalents of states or provinces.  Lia is currently in Octant 3 – the yellow cube in the image, of which Captree is the capital; Octant 6 is the dark blue cube diagonally opposite.

Octant 6 is generally considered the most ‘prosperous’ and ‘rich’ part of the Dominion. Octant 6 has the largest number of colony worlds of any octant, with three A-colonies, four B-colonies and the Octant Capital, Aaran’s Pride.  Her daughter Lali was born in Octant 6 in the A-Colony Aden system – one of the most habitable worlds in Dominion Space and Sage and Lali still live there.  So, Lia has certainly spent time in at least part of Octant 6.  

In the future, Lia will read an article about the dominance of fashion trends from Octant 6, but she would already have some idea of that being a thing from her Fashion Sense and High Society skills.
