Getting to Know You
Lia invests some time making nice-nice with Dining Culture Specialist Advisor Dizen-Brummagem-Hoit-Hieno. She can be pretentious but she does appear to know her stuff and is an outgoing extrovert, willing to engage with people so is happy to talk to Lia at length once Lia makes it past the wall of bureaucracy – but the Communications Bureau producer’s name has smoothed that path. Perhaps unfortunately for Lia, Odelia is heterosexual (though is single) limiting Lia’s leverage options.
Odelia, of course, wants to try the place out, noting that she is aware of it but it hasn’t reached the top of her list for a visit yet. Given Lia’s interest she moves it up. She’s curious about the idea that Communications are talking about a short feature spot.
Lia will speak to the manager of the restaurant about Odelia’s impending visit and encourage him to handpick his staff for the occasion, given who she is and what a good word from her could do for their public profile.
Lia will offer to personally escort Odelia to Platters on the Esplanade and will see if she can rustle up some attractive male company for the occasion.
She will get back to the producer and mention Odelia’s name as her contact once this is all set.
