H-112: Flashback: Thickth Bar, The Lounge

Thikth Bar

I’m envisioning something like…

Lia opens the case Kamphet has brought out for her, jeweler’s loupe now in hand, studies the stones.

She names a very low price.

Kamphet seems insulted, “if you are not prepared to be serious-“

Lia cuts him off, “You are the one who doesn’t seem to be serious.  I invite you to supply quality product and you bring me this… underwhelming garbage.  I was told you were someone who had quality product to supply.

“If this is the best that you can do, we have nothing to discuss.  You do not seem to appreciate who your buyer is, and that this is the most important sample you will ever provide.

“But, of course, that is your decision…”

 [CUT TO]

Lia leaving the bar with a different case – the one she will hand to Cinna on Captree in the future.

Forgive me for putting words in a PC’s mouth – you can, of course, amend or rewrite any of the above to suit your vision of Lia’s actions.

Captree, Platters on the Esplanade, What’s in The Case?

So a range of 8 to 15 – much better (particularly on bell curve.)

Lia still gets to keep the good price roll.

Cinna asked Lia about her assessment of the quality.

Your scene amuses me, so I’m perfectly happy to keep it canon ☺️

To Cinna, Emerald will tip her hand from side to side.

“Fair to middling. There are some decent stones in there and a selection of lower quality product but nothing spectacular. Overall not a bad selection, which should suit your purposes quite well. Lower quality stones are likely to be more useful in the sort of numbers he was offering, than a small handful of standout pieces. They’re harder to move and easier to spot. Not a bad deal for the price negotiated.”

    She smiles.
