H-110: Captree, Platters on the Esplanade

Platters on the Esplanade

Outside the shadows are starting to lengthen and based on the whitecaps, a moderate breeze is blowing further out to sea, but closer in there is shelter from the land and city buildings.  Cloud cover is about 60% and moving westwards above, periodically blocking the star from direct view.  Water traffic – and some air traffic – is running in and out of the nearby marina and along the shore.  Below along the Esplanade, it is moderately busy, with people strolling and shopping, the air comfortably warm.

A white wine made from one of the Dominion’s limited grape varietals can be ordered.

What’s In The Case?

Kamphet’s gems were somewhat disappointing on delivery.  There are a handful of rather good ones, but most of the sample is only average or slightly below – 8 to 10 out of 20.  Lia made the roll by 1, so you could make it 9 to 10 to remove the lower quality ones, or 8 to 11 to add a some better ones.  On the plus side, the narrow range does make for a consistent product, which can have advantages for certain applications.

If you’d like, Lia can roll Merchant (plus bonuses) to see how she did negotiating the price.

She will add some better ones 8 to 11, since a slightly broader range might actually be useful.

It’s bizarre that rolling an 8 and a 10 was a bad result!

Another 8 vs 13 for Merchant plus bonuses at your discretion.
