Contextual Exposition

In addition to the Dominion’s standardised Net messaging infrastructure, different worlds have different arrangements for local communications.  In what is a somewhat common arrangement, Captree has a local real-time voice, text and video network that sits on top of the Net.  The main difference is, accounts on PubNet are directly tied to an individual, whereas the local Captree communications network has anonymous terminals (ie phones) that are identified with nothing but an ID code and not tied to a person.   

Contacting Cinna

Cinna has given Lia a local comm number to call on her return to Captree. 

However, if she needs to, Lia can message that comm number from her PubNet account with recorded video, voice or text.  Knowing Cinna’s name, Lia can also message Cinna’s PubNet account directly if she wishes.
