From memory, that thin cable unplugs from that particular type of camera, but in this particular setting there is a narrow gap between the camera chassis and the door frame that will make disconnection awkward, especially just with his fingers.  It’s also possible, though by no means certain, that if he yanks the plug it will set off an alarm in the monitoring station.  This particular model of camera also has no external on/off, that’s all controlled via the data cable from the monitoring station.
