G-047-Oliver: Crystal Coast Resort, Oliver’s Room

After getting no response, Oliver rechecks his code and realises he’s mis-configured the server request.  Lucky that failed locally and didn’t send a bad request to the node – that may have tripped an alert.

He now has a local copy of the Envoy’s message box that he can play with.

What he can see is a list of messages – he can see when things arrived or were sent and the sender or recipient, but he can’t see any of the message content as each message is separately encrypted.  The most recent messages are stored in full, older messages are header information only to save space and bandwidth, but it’s a routine process to request full message content from the node if he wishes.  The list dates back kiloCycles – presumably to when the Envoy first joined the Overlord’s Household and had his account created.

Is there any particular way you would like Oliver to analyse the list?

If he finds candidate messages he can attempt to crack the encryption on them.

  1. Oliver Starr says:

Can he search by content such as using names to search for relevant messages? Or perhaps he can find messages titled Mundo Zargo or the role that is being disputed.
