G-015: Crystal Coast Resort, Ranulf’s On-The-Water, The Tank
There are terminals in their rooms and clusters of public terminals in both the conference and service areas of the resort, plus occasional single public terminals scattered around the resort.
Feel free to continue with the conversation.
“Does the ship impede on your work much?”
She seems to be studying him quite closely.
“Right now? Yes. It has advantages and disadvantages.”
“I guess that puts us in the same boat. Expanded clientele I suppose?”
“How do you mean?”
“If you’re travelling around the Dominion all the time it would make sense you have access to more clients.”
“No, I meant how does it give you access to clients. Clients for what exactly?”
“Clients for your alternate line of work, what we’re doing now. You don’t seem too nervous, I figure you undertake these sorts of tasks not irregularly.”
“Ahh, I thought you were implying you have clients of your own.”
She smiles.
“I wouldn’t say this was exactly regular but it does fit my skillset. I imagine that’s why we were requested.”
He shakes his head. “No, my goal is primarily singular.”
“Understandable. I can say the same, I suppose.”
“What is your goal exactly?”
“I’m after Mer Argyle, I need to talk to him.”
“Fair enough. But you’re happy to help with this? Very big of you.”
“It’s a fair trade.”
She smiles.
He smiles back then sighs. “I honestly don’t know if I’ll be much help in this venture though.”
“You can make sure I’m not alone and we can work out some signals in case I need rescuing. Also, any information you can dig up on this guy beforehand would be very helpful.”
Oliver nods. “I can do those things. It’s probably easier if you think of the signals and tell me what’s easy for you. I’ll remember whatever you come up with.”
She waves a hand.
“One thing at a time. First we should look at the info on the widget. After we’ve eaten.”
Oliver mimics her hand waving gesture. “So we’re using this for ‘wait until I’ve eaten?'” He smiles.
She laughs.
“If you wait until I’ve eaten to rescue me, we might have an issue.”
“I wonder if the target thinks it’s rude to arrest someone mid-meal?”
“Let’s try to avoid words like ‘arrest’ altogether, shall we?”
