F-594: Mundo Zargo Highport and Commuter Shuttle

NB:  We have established that Oliver is not wearing Gecko-soled shoes.

The trio leave Spanial, tag onto the station (past the automated weapons and contraband detectors) and head across the cavernous commercial dock into the Lower Concourse, where they tag through past more detectors and Legion guards.  A quick trip through the concourse to the opposite side of the station sees them at the ‘commuter’ or planet-side dock (more tags and detectors), where they can catch a shuttle down the gravity well to the Downport.

It’s moderately busy and the shuttle is a little over half full.  Like many such trips where the Highport is an orbital station, it takes almost as long to load and unload the passengers and cargo as it actually spends flying.

Here at Mundo Zargo Down they actually taxi the commuter shuttles to a boarding gate rather than rely on transit buses, though Lia used a bus previously when they came down in Spanial’s own shuttle.  It’s a longish walk down the extended boarding tube at the end of which (after tagging through) they can queue for a travel pod or continue through to the concourse on foot – probably the better option if they plan to eat and shop here at the Downport.

Which will they do first?

Outside, it is light in local time, with the star rising to clouds beginning to form in what was a clear sky.  The time is just on the BCC Break – the Bluevening is moving on.

They can catch a local flight or train to Crystal Coast from the Downport when they are ready.

Can they eat on transport? If so, I vote shopping first and then food to go.
