F-247-Oliver: Spanial (N-Space to Mundo Zargo)
It bears all the hallmarks of an encrypted file. There is no header data he can identify to indicate it is binary data from some form of application.
Also, Oliver can tell that this was not encrypted using Argyle’s home-built encryption program, so Oliver can’t use the decryption shortcut he reverse engineered from Argyle’s program, meaning his existing decryption routine won’t work as easily on this file. If he had the decryption key (or a decryption key) he could probably open it up and see what’s in it. Otherwise, he’ll need to find another method of attack on the problem.
Oliver will start running something that is more of a general decryption process, running through his usual trained method for these types of files.
