Lia sits back in her chair and crosses her legs.
She watches him for a long moment, with a hint of a smile playing around her lips.
“Bearing in mind your lack of familiarity with my profession…”
She sips her juice.
“When your time is a commodity and that commodity can be used in a wide variety of ways, it pays to be attuned to your employer. If you are not paying attention, you risk losing employment opportunities. The more observant I am, the easier it is to anticipate the needs of my employer. Since every employer is different, I need to be different in each situation in order to best fulfill those needs.”
She pauses, watching him.
