The C2189 Crawler is a rugged civilian variant of a similar military vehicle used by the Legion, the C2189 being designed for cold climate use..
The vehicle is electrically powered from on board power cells. As a cold climate vehicle the C2189 is equipped with a front snow plough useful for cutting through ice as the vehicle is wheeled rather than tracked.
The vehicle is sealed.
The interior contains six narrow bunks and ample storage facilities for gear. Fire extinguisher, cold weather survival kit, first aid kit, shovels, snow jacks and a winch are standard equipment. Most vehicles are equipped with an emergency beacon.
The vehicle has lap-sash seatbelts in all seats; those in the two front seats also have airbags. Anyone who wants to use one of the bunks also has the option of clipping a restraining webbing over themselves.

Also, as a civilian vehicle, the one the characters rented on Pristine is painted bright orange.
The one shown below is the Admin Blue variant they were delivered on their second visit – this one without a snow plough attachment (Technically making it the C2187).
