The Keeper of The Codex (note, this position is currently vacant and has been since the start of the True Blood Uprising nearly 40 kCy ago, with no Overlord of House Marron ever having appointed someone to the position.)

 

• Codex interpretation.  
• Matters of legal demarcation, particularly where The Codex overlaps with The Criminal Law or Regulatory Matters.
• The Appellate Court.
• Maintaining physical custody of the The Codex Master Copy.
• Advice on the Secretariats and matters of governance.
  • Note that this latter role has evolved by Overlordly Decree, initially by Overlord Kate when the Underlords were dismissed and further modified since the assumption of House Marron and the True Blood Uprising in an attempt to avoid the sort of constitutional crisis that led to that civil war.
