“Oh, I know there’s a distinction in your relationship with her, my instructions are to treat you as a VIP, not like Family.  It’s why I commented she’d be pleased at the loyalty.”   

“Well, pleased because you are loyal to her, displeased because you had to question it.”  

“Well… “I suppose R will be both pleased and displeased you feel that way.”  

When Lia first tried her Empathy on Lexi, she received a trustworthy vibe. That has not changed, but with the subject being discussed the term brittle comes unbidden to Lia’s mind.
