Lia notes Jonathan talking to another man, he makes brief eye contact with her, but he will leave almost straight away unless she indicates she wants to talk or otherwise catches his attention.
She notes a couple of faces that she has seen around the resort previously – presumably other guests or conference delegates; they’re familiar through repetition but don’t set off any alarms for her.
