“The artificial lighting is artfully managed, but I prefer the natural look. While I spend a lot of time inside, I find I miss not being able to easily and casually go outside. It’s something I take for granted, and so I appreciate the more natural view.
“And no,” the Envoy gestures to the expanse of glass and his eyes flick involuntarily to Lia’s hips, “you are not blocking it.”
She smiles.
“You spend a lot of time inside too? I love plants.but I don’t get to see them much. I have to make do with my companion plant.”
She turns partly towards the window again, shifting her weight to rest on one leg, her hand resting lightly on the curve of her hip.
