4-060: Zebulon Station, Section BC, Legion Cast

Any facility containing Legionnaires is known popularly as a Cast, even though it has a specific definition inside the Legion itself:  A defensible base for accommodating Legion personnel and staging Legion operations.  A Legion Public Safety Office, with a counter, some work terminals, a few interview/interrogation rooms and possibly some detention cells is not technically a Cast, but few, even inside the Legion, make the distinction.  Oliver’s mother possibly did, which is why he knows this.

Anyway, the Legion PSO to which Oliver is led is fairly large.  The Officer talks about goat steak special sauce and his girlfriend during the short trip and upon arriving at the foyer asks the Desk Officer which interview room is free.  On receiving an answer he leads Oliver through a secure door, down a short corridor with several numbered doors to a room with a number matching the Desk Officer’s instruction.  The Second Officer that has been trailing along waits outside.

The chatty Officer goes to a comm terminal on the wall and uses his thumb print to activate it.

“You can call your superior from here, I’ll be back shortly.”

With that, he leaves.  Oliver is alone in the room.

The room is painted in a cream colour, the wall covering some kind of slightly soft spray-on coating that deadens sound and gives very slightly to the touch – not uncommon on spacecraft and space facilities.  The floor is coated with a similar material but with a slightly coarser texture and coloured grey, matching the door.  Light comes from a ring of LEDs around the ceiling cornice.  Apart from the comm unit there is a light grey table with four, not uncomfortable-looking, chairs, a large blank viewing screen and control pad and a water dispenser.  There is an obvious opaque security camera dome in the ceiling on the corner of the room opposite the door.
