4-026: Aboard Snark 416 – Airlock

I forgot Oliver had Psychology – it’s the perfect skill for this roll. 

Oliver observes that the Senior Customs Officer is very nervous at the presence of the Commissar, she keeps glancing toward him as if seeking or checking for approval or reassurance.  

Halcyon hands over the ship’s documents to the Senior Officer and she begins carefully going through them.

The Junior Officer moves down the line inspecting people’s identity documents he is also comparing the content of the papers with the information on peoples’ tags.

As part of the ‘settling in process’, Vizant Melody updated Oliver’s papers to show his new address as being at GRRAS and his occupation as being ‘Computer Specialist/Starship Comm/Scan Operator’. 

I just assume Oliver would know to have both his tag and his papers with him. 

Oliver also notices that the Commissar is not looking at the customs officer at all; he is carefully studying the crew as the Junior checks everyone’s documents.

As he moves along the line, the Junior occasionally asks a question about some item or other.

When he reaches Oliver he sneers slightly (it seems to be his only facial expression), looks at the documents I assume Oliver has given him, and asks, “So, where were you born?”
