4-007: Aboard Snark 416
On the Control Deck, Alan is in the pilot’s chair and Dicard is in his usual place in the Observer’s station.
Dicard says, “Dr Fromm sedated Uddin, so he needs to be secured for lift off.”
He presses some keys, “I’m sending our itinerary to your station.”

Alan asks Oliver to organise lift off clearance with traffic control. Alan has taught him how previously and he is able to arrange it for them.
Alan finishes his pre-flight checks and Erin advises that the thrusters are clear to start. Dr Fromm reports both Uddin and he are secured.
The lift-off window arrives after a brief wait. Alan operates his controls and a shudder runs through the ship as the thrusters ignite. Snark 416 rises out of its docking bay and about a task later is in orbit.
Oliver reports scan is clear and Alan engages the thrusters to break orbit and head for the jump-out point. He engages the grav plates and announces that people are free to move about.
Alan says to Oliver, “I’ll stand watch until the end of this shift, you can take over then.”
Oliver knows that ships must have someone standing watch in the Control Room while the ship is in normal space.
“Alright, I’ll see you in just over a job then.”
Now he will return to his cabin and attempt that computer.
Roll 11
Just so I’m clear, Oliver is trying to bypass the security system on the computer to break in and see what’s on it, yes?
