Local Overcrat of Agriculture Bureau hosts Conference from specialists across Dominion 

Popular Local Overcrat Zayaire Preston-Lischost hosted the opening festivities of the 10-Cycle cross-Dominion conference of Agriculture specialists currently being hosted by the Agriculture Bureau at the Luxurious Crystal Coast resort.  The event brings specialists in agriculture from across the Dominion to share ideas on agricultural technologies and advancements vital to the prosperity of the Dominion. 

Overcrat Preston-Lischost said of the conference, “It’s really quite an honour to be hosting it here on Mundo Zargo this kiloCycle, it’s almost always held on Zargonia and to draw everyone out here to the edge of the sphere this time is a welcome recognition of the work we’re doing to fulfil and advance our role as one of the key breadbaskets of the Dominion.  So the opening was a bit grand, and a bit of a reward for all their hard work to warm the boffins up, but now it’s down to serious business and ten solid Cycles of hard work.”

Noted Zargonian crop specialist Ernest Norman CHE gave the key-note speech, which was followed by a musical presentation with an agricultural theme.  Key members of the Secretariat and the Local Overcrat of the Resources Bureau were also in attendance.    

The Clash of Fashion – will Mundo Zargo society continue the conservatism of Zargonia or swing to the new trends from Aaran’s Pride? 

The addage goes, what they’re wearing in Settlement Plaza they’re wearing elsewhere once the next Packet arrives.

Only, this correspondent wonders if that’s really true?  Zargonian fashion right now is conservative cuts and dark colours, long sleeves and high collars, highlighted with subtle jewellery, or perhaps a pastel touch.  But look at our social scene here on ‘Zargo:  It’s bold colours, bright primaries, often with a small clashing colour to highlight.  It’s low necks and low backs, open shirts and loose fits, high boots and bling.  Where else do we see this?  Not in Settlement Plaza on Zargonia, but in the galleries and restaurants and halls of prosperity on Aaran’s Pride and Aden.  The cognoscenti of Octant 6 are leading the way with bold moves in the word of fashion, and the rest of the Dominion is taking notice – and following their lead.  One might argue that the conservative look never goes out of style, but at least for now more and more of the society set are dressing bold and bright.

This article is largely a montage of images with captions.  The Cultural Bureau is known for holding regular gala events themed with everything from Sportsball to Chak to Dance to Visual Arts to Food.  This one seems to be a fusion of the brewing arts with food.  Referencing the previous article, it looks to Lia’s practiced eye like the conservative split in fashion trends is present, but closer to 60%-40% in the conservative’s favour than what the previous article suggests.
