He leans back in his seat, stares out the window for several seconds. Lia may respond if she wishes.
Whether she does or doesn’t he will at some point say, “If you will excuse me briefly.”
He activates some controls on the passenger console, “Morton, reschedule my remaining appointments for the Cycle with my apologies to the Undercrats and the Vizant. Keep nextCycle open. Only urgent interruptions until I advise otherwise.”
That done, he leans back again.
She doesn’t respond to the first comment.
She doesn’t visibly react to the instructions he gives. She’s a little surprised but doesn’t let it show.
Can you describe the interior of the vehicle? I assume they’re seated but are they strapped in? Close to each other or far away?
Also, does she get a vibe that he has an opinion about the separation of the two arrangements?
