3-169: Outside the Waste Processing room of Argyle’s Lodge
As noted earlier, the moon is up and the moonlight is comparatively bright.
Outside, there is like a little, almost natural, valley leading up to the doors with high snow banks either side, the awning slopes in an upside-down V-shape to keep the area in front of the door clear of snow. The little ‘driveway’ is about 30m long before the snow banks drop away and the terrain begins going downhill.
No movement or presence is immediately obvious; the night is quiet. Out in the open, without the focussing effect of the little valley and the room, the breeze feels less strong.
While in this area, Oliver has some cover and there are no obvious vantage points overlooking it.
Chris is back at the doorway, peering out into the night with his shotgun ready.
What does Oliver have in his hands? How careful/quiet is he being?
Options for actions include:
- Checking this driveway area in front of the door
- Climbing one or another of the snow banks to the sides to see what’s that way
- Walking to the end of the driveway to see down the slope
- Returning and examining the room
- Something else
Give me a PER check if Oliver’s looking at something.
Unless he tries to climb right near the entrance, the snow banks aren’t steep enough to require a climbing roll should he decide to do that.
Roll a 10 as I examine the driveway, then head to the end to see down the slope.
