Chris looks at the mine, then at Oliver, “after you, guy who doesn’t know about explosives.”

Oliver is able to move ahead without setting off the mine, Chris hangs back a moment until he’s comfortable that Oliver hasn’t been turned into a pink mist, then follows. 

On the wall ahead, because he is looking for it, Oliver can see where the end of the tripwire has been affixed with another small blob of adhesive.

There is one more of these bends and then about 10m of tunnel before there is some sort of room.  The far side of the room has an opening through which Oliver can see snow and stars.
