Lia notes Farbello nodding almost imperceptibly as she speaks.
He spends a little time processing, then, “and what about the other candidate, Local Overcrat Preston-Lischost, were you able to get a read on him?”
She gives a little sigh.
“I confess to more bias where he is concerned. I don’t much care for him but that has no bearing on what kind of governor he might make.”
She takes another bite of her meal.
“He’s a flashy personality but behind the party boy facade is a shrewd mind. Has a finger in a lot of pies. He is smart enough to work a room and press all the right flesh whilst making a dozen different deals and never losing track of which is which.”
She sips her juice.
“Where Markov-Wrikster is quiet and considered, Preston-Lischost is smooth and charismatic. Don’t be fooled by his apparent failings, he weilds them like a master painter wields his brush. He could be a good leader, so long as his ego didn’t outweigh his ability to listen.”
