F-182-Oliver: Spanial (N-Space to Mundo Zargo), Control

“There might need to be a few extra calculations when plotting the jump, but I think it’s less cumbersome than overshooting the target and taking an extra five or ten Cycles in N-space to get where you’re supposed to be.”

She frowns, “or worse, missing the mass point entirely.”

Oliver would know that missing the mass point in a hyperspace jump can be bad, as in ‘the ship was never seen again’ type of bad.

She gives a little shrug, “I’m still trying to work it out.”

Oliver suspects she’d be happy to talk about it in detail, but he probably doesn’t know enough about hyperspace navigation for it to make sense; he can ask if he wishes though.

  1. Oliver Starr says:

“Well yes, that seems like a reasonable sacrifice.”

    “What are you stuck on?”
