F-231-Lia: Vizierate Hybridyne, Secretariat Landing Area
What’s in the News…
OK. Let me know when she’ll do that reading.
Hybridyne
When the vehicle has touched town and the engines stopped, gravity is restored to a standard 1 G.
The pilot comes back to the main cabin and seems prepared to fuss over Lia in case she doesn’t know how to undo her belt or stand up from a seat. The wide door splits, the window half folding up and the lower half down and extending steps for a comfortable egress.
The docking area is a large, square space, overhead, the double sets of transparent doors overhead showing a distorted slice of starry sky above. A hissing thump of air pumps pervades the background and there is a strong breeze of cool, damp air from the vents.
Another uniformed Vizant is there to greet her. Boyish face, dark hair, Eurasian appearance.
“Mer Silver-Rose? We spoke earlier, I am Vizant Morton Crofton.”
He nods to the driver, “I will take it from here.”
“Mer, if you will accompany me I will escort you to the Minor Vizier.”
When they are a little way away from the driver he says, “Vizier Farbello asked me to apologise for not using your professional moniker, but it will be less confusing for security.”
She is amused by the fussing and will indulge it slightly before gently indicating that she knows what she’s doing. She will do all this with a smile.
She will regret her lack of jacket on exiting.
On the dismissal by the Vizier, Lia will turn to the driver, shake her hand and thank her for a smooth ride and attentive service.
She will laugh at the Vizier’s apology.
“I imagine having two names would cause some… consternation in your profession.”
