When he goes to dinner, Lia is (apparently uncharacteristically) absent.
Gregar is about to go to bed and has dropped by the Common Area for what Oliver will gather is his regular pre-sleep snack of a glass of warm goat milk and two cookies. He says he will go and check on her.
Oliver has served himself whatever he choses to eat and is in the process of consuming it when Karmen says, “Oliver, I have some good news for you.”
Oliver will swallow his mouthful and say “Oh?”
