3-069: In the Foyer of Argyle’s Lodge II

The flare isn’t specifically a fire hazard, it doesn’t look like the carpet is going to catch alight – just scorch, smoke and stink.  However, that thought does cause you to note that this room has a fire suppression system in the ceiling, and it hasn’t activated.

You hit what looks like a light switch and the lights remain off.

Oliver notes that it is pretty cold in here.

Behind the counter is a simple button pad, with eight coloured buttons on it.

The counter is very solid, and on closer inspection appears to be made of concrete with steel plates bolted on the inside and stick-on decorative panels on the outside to disguise the nature of it’s construction.  There is a shelf just below the countertop and a void in the light coating of dust there suggests something long and firearm-shaped has been removed recently.

On the table next to the arm chair is a remote.  One of the controls is labelled ‘raise/lower’.

As you all move around the room, the turret continues to point and click at people.

Dicard says, “I think we should check each of the doors as a group, ready to shoot if we need to.”

Chris says from over by the Boot Room, “yeah, this one’s locked anyway.”

Alan from the opposite door says, “This one too.”

  1. Oliver Starr says:

“Looks like a firearm has been taken from under here. A bunch of buttons I’m not willing to press unless I have to. We made a lot of noise and took forever to breach so we’re unlikely to find Argyle unprepared, if at all.”

I’ll grab my lock kits and move to the boot room. If it looks like I can get in with what I have then I’ll get to work. Roll 12 vs base 12.
