3-054: At the Front Door to Argyle’s Lodge IV

Oliver leans in and opens the door, then quickly ducks back out of the way.

With the door where you want it, you have concealment from the Right-Hand Turret.

Chris can immediately open fire with three blasts from his shotgun at a dark blob in the dark room.  It’s quite a difficult shot; the turrets are smaller than it might seem from your initial map.

Here some options for Chris’ attack:

  • He can make a regular attack and attempt a Dodge if he needs it – no additional modifiers.
  • He can make this a pop-up attack, allowing him to duck back out of the way and he will have advantage of cover, he can still Dodge – additional -2 to his attack.
  • He can make an all-out attack, which means he can’t Dodge – additional +1 to his attack (he can’t pop up and do an all-out attack).
  • He can hold fire for a moment, properly identify his target and Aim – this will give him +3 for the first second of aiming and an extra +1 if he aims for 1 or 2 seconds after that, and a total +5 for 4 seconds of aim, however if the turret is live it will have that additional time to acquire him and fire.

Specify and roll his attack, to save time, make a Dodge roll for him as well if that’s an option, in case he needs it.  If he makes a pop-up attack, make a DX roll for him too.

Play note – do you want to roll for the others like this, or will I roll their results and tell you what happens? One option is more interactive and gives you a wider range of play choices, the other is faster and allows you to focus just on Oliver.

I feel Chris has been a bit pent up from his time wandering around doing not much, plus with his lower IQ I’m going to say it’d be fitting if he did an all out attack.

Chris rolls a base 12 on his attack.

I’m happy to keep rolling, however if you feel you understand the characters enough in specific situations, EG Halcyon’s dodge; you can roll for them to increase pace of the game.
So I’ll roll when you feel there’s multiple courses of action, but if there’s a pretty obvious course of action or a reaction roll I’m happy for you to do it.
