3-004: Outside Argyle’s Hunting Lodge III

So here’s a mud map of the situation:

The crawler is parked just outside the gate, the map is approximately to scale, with the gate being about 5m wide.

Christopher isn’t sure about how the crawler would go tackling the fence head on.

Richard notices that there are some drifts of snow packed up against the fence about 30m to the left along the fence line.

The gate doesn’t look as solid as the wall but it’s difficult to say which would win, or if the crawler might get through in a kind of phyrric victory.  The big scoop on the front might help with that.

Alan can roll Perception or Observation to check for cameras.

So at this point can I confirm that:

  • Christopher has just debussed from the Crawler?
  • Alan is about to follow him?
  • Oliver has just gone back in to the crawler?
  • Richard is still inside the crawler?

BTW, the fence is about 2m high, with some variation due to the uneven terrain.

So what are you guys wearing, and if you are all leaving the crawler, are you taking anything else with you?

I feel i have a better grasp on the situation now. Christopher would be wearing the warmest clothes he could find.

Christopher is obviously not happy about this attempt for finesse but sits back crosses his arms almost defeated by the fact that these people are a lot smarter than him. He will sit in the crawler and a few await instructions.

Christopher:”You guys just tell me how i can be useful.”

  2. Oliver Starr says:

“We need finesse, not force. We’ve advertised our presence, he has turrets ready to fire at us and this is his home. We crash the gate, the crawler may or may not survive, if it does it’s mostly likely going to be crippled. Our already damaged vehicle isn’t a hard target for automated weapons. Can’t the vizier here lock his passport or name or something? Keep him from leaving the planet? I wouldn’t mind taking the stealthy approach but he is already aware we are here and is prepared for an attack.”

  3. Richard Dicard says:

“I believe if we leave then he’s gone, how about a vote then?”

  4. Alan Halcyon says:

I believe I’m wearing a ballistic suit under my plain clothes which i assume are either warm clothes or arctic gear hired from the lodge or something.
    Roll – 3d6 – 7 to check for cameras

Alan “As I see it we have a couple of options with taking this place with an assault. Option 1 we sneak up and scale the wall and try to hack our way into the building. Option 2 we ram the gate and hope for the best the crawler survives then break our way in. Option 3 we drive up to the wall and jump off the top of the roof of the crawler over the wall and assault the doors from there. at least that’s how i see it for attacking the place directly, anyone have anything to add?”

My impression of the situation kept changing but I feel I get it now. In which case I haven’t left my seat. I’m against brute force and have voiced such opinions. For now I’m just waiting for everyone to make a decision.
I guess I’m either wearing the warmest clothes we had or if we bothered to buy arctic gear I’m wearing that.

  6. Richard Dicard says:

“After some consideration, I’ll see if I can use my security clearance to try strand him here; pack your things, it’ll be getting dark soon, lets head back.”
I fasten my self in a seat.
